How to report a user

Cerca Help Center

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Cerca's in-app reporting is for policy violations, not emergencies.

Cerca reviews every report submitted by users. Reports are anonymous — the person you report will not be told who reported them or what was said.

Report a provider (from their profile)

1
Open the provider's profile in the Cerca app.
2
Scroll to the bottom of the profile.
3
Tap "Report [Provider Name]".
4
Select a reason (e.g. Fake profile, Inappropriate content, Harassment).
5
Add any details that will help our team understand what happened.
6
Tap "Submit Report". You'll see a confirmation screen.

Report a customer (from a booking)

1
Open the booking detail for the booking involving this customer.
2
Scroll to find the "Report Customer" option.
3
Select a reason and add any relevant details.
4
Tap "Submit Report".

What counts as a reportable violation?

  • Fake, misleading, or impersonated profile
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive messages
  • Asking for pre-service payment via Venmo, Zelle, wire transfer, or similar — in-person cash payment after the service is fine
  • Spam or repeated unsolicited messages
  • No-show without prior notice or communication
  • Fraudulent bookings or reviews
  • Inappropriate content in profile photos or portfolio

What happens after you report

Our trust & safety team reviews every report, typically within 1–3 business days. We may reach out to you for more information. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

  • Issue a warning to the reported account
  • Temporarily suspend the account pending review
  • Permanently remove the account for serious or repeated violations

We don't share the outcome of our investigation with reporters, but we take every report seriously.

Report via email

If you prefer to report by email, or if the in-app report button is not available, contact us at support@app-cerca.com. Include as much detail as possible: the name of the account, what happened, and any screenshots if relevant.

False reports

Submitting a report you know to be false is itself a violation of our Community Guidelines and may result in action against your account.
